    • Ideal in the most critical applications such as entrance areas and exit corridors especially those used for emergency exits in case of fire.

  • Firesafe Décorply is an ideal material to specify for acoustic attenuation as plywood is a good acoustic absorber due to the thin wall cellular structure which absorbs the energy from sound waves. When combined with our standard perforations or any custom designs it is possible to achieve perfect acoustics for any space. Additionally, Decoustic 85 felt is bonded to the back of the panels as standard to further increase the acoustic properties.

Décortech panels have been tested to ISO11654 by the University of Auckland in conjunction with Marshall Day Acoustics. Please see our website for specifications in downloadable PDF form for all of our standard perforations. Each perforation pattern is specified as to percentage open area (required by Acoustic Engineers) and a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) value which indicates percentage of noise absorbed.

  • Décortech sources all Plywood from sustainably managed forests with FSC or PEFC certifications.

  • As real Firesafe Decorply Plywood is a natural product there will be colour and grain variations (i.e. no two trees are the same). Colour & Grain variations are more evident in larger orders, even when the plywood is sourced from the same batch colour tones can vary. This is unfortunately unavoidable and is part of the beauty of choosing a plywood.

Knots and pips are likely to be present in all plywood. Should you not want this please request that you would like the veneer to be grain matched to minimise inconsistencies. This comes at an additional cost.

Plywood will change in colour over time and initial variations will smooth out with exposure to UV and sunlight. Generally, in 3-6 months most significant variations will even out. Please be prepared to wait this time for the plyw to come into their own.

Melamine may be a suitable alternative should no colour or grain variation be desired.
