EcoCraft - Real Timber Veneer
Real timber veneer brings natural warmth to any space. Big River Panels aim to make the selection process as easy as possible, from assisting with samples, product specification and ensuring consistency across your project.

As real timber veneer is a natural product there will be colour and grain variations (i.e. no two trees are the same). Colour & Grain variations are more evident in larger orders, even when veneer is sourced from the same batch colour tones can vary. This is unfortunately unavoidable and is part of the beauty of natural timber veneer.
Knots and pips are likely to be present in all veneers. Should you not want this please request that you would like the veneer to be grain matched to minimise inconsistencies. This comes at an additional cost.
Veneer will change in colour over time and initial variations will smooth out with exposure to UV and sunlight. Generally, in 3-6 months most significant variations will even out. Please be prepared to wait this time for veneers to come into their own.
Melamine may be a suitable alternative should no colour or grain variation be desired.

Species, grain, cut and finish can all affect the perceived variation of Real Timber Veneer. When communicating with Big River Panels about your project, make sure to clarify colour expectations. We can help you make decisions early to ensure you get the finished look you expect. Big River Panels work closely with you throughout your project and when selecting the veneer to minimise or maximise variation depending on your requirements.

Big River Panels offer a wide range of substrates veneer can be pressed to, MDF, MR MDF, Firesafe MDF, & Plywood options. Once pressed real timber veneer is enhanced by our factory applied finish for a premium result every time.

HOW TO SPECIFY
Select from our range of plywood and MDF substrates (Firesafe options available). Combine with a real timber veneer and standard finish or apply a paint finish by our in-house paint line for a premium hard-wearing, scratch resistant finish. If your project requires acoustic performance, choose from our fully customisable range of acoustic perforations. Use the buttons below to navigate.
